چکیده

Within the Feynman Vernon path integral formalism and in the Markovian limit we consider the time evolution of a collective subsystem coupled to a bath of intrinsic degrees of freedom We show that dissipation leads to major qualitative and quantitative modi cations of the time evolution of the density matrix of the collective subsystem In either the spatial momentumor energy representation the density distribution acquires very long tails and in particular tunneling is greatly enhanced

Towards microscopic dynamics of dissipation in nuclear collective motion

For getting some microscopic understanding of dissipative dynamics in nuclear collective motion in a more dynamical way, a system with three degrees of freedom is examined within the time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory. Exploiting the self-consistent collective coordinate (SCC) method, the total system is optimally devided into the collective and intrinsic subsystems. The energy dissipation proc...

Radiative heat transfer: many-body effects

Heat transfer by electromagnetic radiation is one of the common methods of energy transfer between objects. Using the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, we have studied the effect of particle arrangement in the transmission of radiative heat in many-body systems. In order to show the effect of the structure morphology on the collective properties, the radiative heat transfer is studied and the re...

The influence of respiratory motion on dose distribution of 3D-CRT and IMRT- A simulation study

Background: 3DCRT (three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy) and IMRT (intensity-modulated radiotherapy) has provided us with tools to delineate the radiation dose distribution of tumor targets. However, the precision of radiation can be compromised by respiratory motion, which usually limits the geometric and dosimetric accuracy of radiotherapy. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the imp...

Coupled Collective Motion in Nuclear Reactions

In this paper, we review the roles of collective modes in nuclear reactions. We emphaize the strong couplings of various collective states with the monopole and quadrupole motions. In inelastic excitation, these couplings can be seen as an important source of anharmonicity in the multiphonon spectrum. In fusion reaction, the breathing and quadrupole motions strongly affects the oscillation of p...

Self-consistent theory of large amplitude collective motion: Applications to approximate quantization of non-separable systems and to nuclear physics

The goal of the present account is to review our efforts to obtain and apply a “collective” Hamiltonian for a few, approximately decoupled, adiabatic degrees of freedom, starting from a Hamiltonian system with more or many more degrees of freedom. The approach is based on an analysis of the classical limit of quantum-mechanical problems. Initially, we study the classical problem within the fram...
